Elrod Elementary is a School-Wide Magnet Program (SWP) — which means every student participates in our unique, specialized curriculum. We are proud to be:

Application Process
Elrod’s Magnet School Application Process:
- Complete Application: Submit a comprehensive application through the HISD Office of School Choice, selecting Elrod ES as your first choice, followed by other schools you are interested in.
- Lottery Process: Admission to Elrod’s Emerging Medical Scholars is determined by a lottery system.

Elrod is a School-Wide Magnet Campus, there are NO requirements to apply — just the desire to be part of an A-Rated school!

The only document required is proof of address which may include: resident's current electric bill, natural gas bill, City of Houston water bill, or a valid lease agreement (if the residence is an apartment).APPLY NOW
